Golden Globe Awards '08: "And the winner is..."

Die Hollywood Foreign Press Association - HFPA verkünden heute, 14. Januar 2008, in einer Pressekonferenz die Gewinner der 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards 2008 in Los Angeles (USA). Die geplante Gala Veranstaltung und feierliche Übergabe der jährlichen Auszeichnungen für Kinofilme und Fernsehsendungen wurde in diesem Jahr aufgrund des Boykotts und Autorenstreiks abgesagt (Cinefacts berichtete).

Gewinner in der Kategorie "Bester Film - Drama" ist "Atonement", "Best Motion Picture - Musical Or Comedy" wird "Sweeney Todd" ausgezeichnet und als "Best Animated Film" erhält "Ratatouille" den Golden Globe. In den Kategorien Schauspieler werden Daniel Day-Lewis in "There Will Be Blood" als "Bester Schauspieler" und Julie Christie in "Away From Her" als "Beste Schauspielerin" ausgezeichnet. Für die Kategorie "Best Director" wird Regisseur Julian Schnabel für den Film "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" mit dem Golden Globe geehrt. Als "Best Foreign Language Film" erhält ebenfalls der Film "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" die begehrte Trophäre.

Der diesjährige Preisträger des Cecil B. DeMille Awards ist der sechsfache Golden-Globe-Gewinner Steven Spielberg. Der Regisseur, Drehbuchautor und Produzent erhält den Ehrenpreis für seinen „außerordentlichen Beitrag zum Unterhaltungsbereich“. Nach der Absage der Verleihungszeremonie wurde aber entschieden, dass Spielberg der Cecil B. DeMille Award erst im Jahr 2009 feierlich übergeben wird (Cinefacts berichtete).
